Lee E. Harris, 81, of Enon, passed away February 21, 2017. Lee was born in New Richmond, Indiana on July 1, 1935 to the late James and Zella Harris. Lee retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW, Amvets, Disables Veterans and the American Legion for many years. In his free time he enjoyed playing Texas Holdem and Bingo with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathon Hoskins and brother, William Harris.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Bernadine A. Harris; daughters, Karen Cansler, Sharon (Silas) Hoskins, Leigh Ann (Kenny) Austin; grandchildren, Melissa (Chad) Edwards, Tracy (Keith) Kenrick, Keith Barker, Tonya Hoskins, Paul Austin, Nicholas Austin, Haley Austin; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Michelle, Kristen, Brooke, Brian, Bailey, Abby, Jack, Nancy; great great grandchildren, Micca, Aleah, Jera, Brian; sister, Dorothy Shake; special nephew, Bill Harris; and several other relatives and special friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 9:30 am-10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 10:30 am with Pastor Silas Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
