Lawrence John "Larry" Purdom

Lawrence John "Larry" Purdom, age 77, of Bellbrook, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2025. Larry was born in Springfield, Ohio on August 6, 1948 to the late Lawrence Purdom and Garnet Warner.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Bogart.

He is survived by wife of 42 years, Beth Purdom; sons, Shawn Purdom, Brian Purdom and Dan (Vivian) Elmeier; grandsons, Eli and Bryce Elmeier; brother, Tom (Sharon) Gultice; nieces, Amy (John) Gultice, Robin (Brad) Berry and Greta (Ken) Gultice; as well as many other family members and friends.

Larry graduated from Xenia High School, Class of 1966. He retired from GM/EDS after many years of service. Larry was a United States Army Veteran.

He was a member of the American Legion in Kettering for many years. In his free time, Larry enjoyed watching Fox News, going to the Casino and spending time with his grandsons and friends. Larry was a die-hard Bengals Football fan, he held season tickets for over 50 years.

Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always helping his friends when they needed him. Larry was very caring and wanted to make sure his family was doing well.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
