Slouffman, LaVeda M. (Younce) passed away on March 7, 2018.
She was born January 7, 1923 in Greene County.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ray; her parents Loren D. Younce and Veda A. Copsey; a sister Marjorie L. Rhoades; her daughter Roberta Faye; a great grandson Russell Slouffman and her daughter-in-law Sue Slouffman.
She is survived by her four sons, David and Nancy, Timothy and Connie, Dennis and Barbara and Theodore and Glenda; nieces and nephews Cinda L. Krueger and husband Michael, Veda Moyer, Loren and Robert Prince and Faith Thompson; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
LaVeda was a member of the Spring Valley United Methodist Church and was very active. She was a dispatcher for the Spring Valley Township Fire Department for 25 years. She and her husband were residents of Spring Valley for 66 years.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2-4:00 pm at the funeral home.
