Larry Wayne Adams

Larry Wayne Adams, age 69, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Gem City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on December 4, 1956, in Hyden, Kentucky, the son of Boyd Hall and Loraine Melton.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Hall.

He leaves behind his daughter, Michelle Adams; granddaughter, Kennedy Johnson; mother, Loraine Melton; brothers, David Melton and Jeffrey Melton; as well as numerous extended family members and friends in Kentucky.

Larry attended Colonel White High School and began his career with the City of Dayton Street Maintenance Department, where he enjoyed working outdoors. He later worked in the tool and die industry. Larry was known for his friendly personality, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. He was always ready with a joke and could easily make people smile. He had a big heart, was deeply loving toward those he cared about, and was never afraid to speak his mind when the situation called for it.

Larry will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, honesty, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.
