Larry was a true motor head. He loved anything with an engine, and he could fix just about anything you put in front of him. He could weld, frame houses, work on machines, and his hands were strong and rough from a lifetime of hard, honest work-hands that built things, repaired things, and helped anyone who needed it.
He loved the simple things that made a day feel right: a good cup of coffee and a cigarette in his hand. And he loved being outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and driving his drag car were some of the things that brought him joy. One of his greatest joys was watching his son race BMX. He showed up to every race he could, always ready to help, support, or just stand in your corner.
Larry was a man who showed love through action by showing up, helping, fixing, and giving his time and his skills. For 35 years he stood by his wife, Melanie, and he poured his heart into being a father and a grandpa. His five grandchildren meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment with them.
He was tough, loyal, and dependable. He lived a life built on hard work, simple pleasures, and quiet generosity. We'll miss his laugh, his stories, his cigarette and coffee in the morning, and the way he always seemed to know how to fix whatever problem was in front of him.
We were blessed to know Larry-as a husband, a father, a grandpa, and a friend. His legacy lives on in the things he built, the people he helped, and the family he loved.
