Larod Allen Delong

LaRod Allen "FatFat" Delong, age 18 was born on a Saturday, May 28th 2005 in Dayton Ohio to the proud parents Heather Orris-Delong and Rodney Lowe. LaRod was a true "Momma's Boy". LaRod was a very creative child from Birth. A few of his early interests were that of many little boys, wrestling men figures, remote control cars, and playing with his siblings. As he got older, he always wanted to explore the outside, riding his bike, four wheeling with family, or simply spending time alone or with friends at the park. He was loved by all. He was the ultimate "Goof Ball" and a giving young man. He deeply loved his family, ALL his family. He was on track to complete his online high school diploma by June.

On Saturday April the 6th 2024 LaRod transitioned from this life to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and brother Austyn Tielor Orris-DeLong.

He was preceded in death by his brother Austyn Tielor Orris-DeLong, Grand Parents Ronald and Carolyn Lowe.

He is survived by mother Heather Orris-DeLong, father Rodney Lowe (Pamela Armstrong), sisters Arlyssa Orris-DeLong (Tavion Buford), Elise DeLong, Amia DeLong, and Arielle Baldwin, brothers Rodney "lil Rod" Lowe Jr. and De'Acapone "Dee" Harrison, grandmother Mary DeLong, uncle Josh DeLong, aunts Misty DeLong, Casey Delong, and Raven DeLong. Aunts Demetria "Dee Dee" Edwards and Rhonda "Nettie" Lowe, uncles Ronald (Ron Ron) Lowe, Robert "Bob" Lowe, and Ryan Lowe, and a whole host of cousins. A special mention: lifelong friend of the family LaShawn Bryant and his last love Cassie Snyder (Catya).

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with service to follow, all at Living Word Church in Vandalia.

LaRod will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
