L. James Detamore

Jim Detamore, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 16, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio. Jim attended Beavercreek High School. Then he served in the United States Army for 2 years. Jim spent most of his professional career as an engineer in various tool shops and his specialty was injection molding.

Jim is loved and missed by his family. He is survived by his loving wife Irene of 25 years, His sister Christine Stacy (daughter Amanda, son Brad and family), sons James Detamore (daughter Annabelle), and Chad Detamore (son Joseph and daughter Abagail), daughter Nichole Detamore (son Beckett), step-daughter Christine Peters (Husband Anthony, sons Anthony and Lucas), and step-son Eric Shepherd. Sister-in-law Pamela Detamore (Mathias, Jessica, and family), and Sister-in-law Nancy Detamore (Michael and family).

Jim was preceded in death by his first wife JoAnne; his parents Lloyd and Ruth Ann; his siblings Lawrence, Richard, and Dennis; brother-in-law Mark Stacy; and his nephew, Thomas.

Jim will be lovingly interred at Calvary Cemetery near his family. Internment service will be at Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 am.
