Kwang Sin

Kwang Sin, born on September 8, 1952, in South Korea, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in Dayton. Throughout his seventy-three years, Kwang embodied a spirit of dedication, warmth, and resilience, leaving a legacy of love and strength to his family and those who knew him.

Kwang’s journey began in South Korea, where his formative years shaped a strong character rooted in tradition and compassion. His life eventually brought him to Dayton, where he built a home and a family, sharing his kindness and wisdom with all around him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Pyo Shultz, whose steadfast companionship was the foundation of their many years together. Kwang’s profound sense of care and guidance was exemplified in his role as a father to his daughter, Tammy Barner, providing unwavering support and lessons that will endure through generations. As a grandfather to Laina Barner and Lavin Barner, Kwang’s gentle presence and heartfelt encouragement positively influenced their young lives, shaping treasured memories that will last forever.

To his family, Kwang was a source of strength and gentle humor—a man who faced challenges with dignity and carried himself with quiet determination. His values continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his stories and example will remain cornerstones in the lives of his loved ones.

A Memorial Service honoring Kwang Sin’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 4, 2026, at Dayton Korean Grace Church, located at 2661 Harshman Road, Dayton, OH 45424. Friends and family are invited to gather, share fond memories, and celebrate the enduring impact of Kwang’s life.

Though he is no longer with us, Kwang Sin’s memory will continue to live on through the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
