Kirk Morris, age 66 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025. He was born June 12, 1959 in Norton, Virginia, the son of Lowell Morris and Gloria Goldson.
Kirk graduated from Park Hills High School in the class of 1977. After high school, he attended Hocking College and moved to Idaho to perfect his trade in forestry. He then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Beavercreek Lock and Key for several years and most recently retired as a Class III Waste Water Operator in October 2024.
Through his many journeys in life, he became a jack of all trades. He always enjoyed tinkering on his next project.
Affectionately known as the Smoker King, he will be remembered for his pulled pork, brisket and cheese burger dinners at the VFW. He may have had a tough exterior, but he had a caring heart who was willing to help anyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lowell Morris.
Kirk is survived by his wife of 17 years, Connie; parents, Gloria (Hardy) Goldson; siblings, Karla Layne and Andrew Morris; niece, Maggie Layne; nephew, Miles Layne; great niece, Aubrey Hamilton; and many other loving family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Beavercreek VFW Post 8312 (2389 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45434).
