King Oscar Simmons, 4 months, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Dayton Children's Hospital. He was born September 25, 2018 in Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar Simmons Sr. and Shirley Grant; maternal grandfather, Benjamin Lucas; paternal grandmother, Marsha Lindsey; and uncles, James T. Grant Sr., Travis Kirkland.
King is survived by his parents Oscar and Jessica Simmons; siblings, Tyrone Powell, Tariah, Tamia and Danell Defurr, Valencia and Gavin Dangerfield, Benny and Tacari Lucas; maternal grandmothers, Patricia Conners and Rhonda Lucas; paternal grandmother, Shirley Badgett special aunts, Natasha Mayo, Darra (Brian) Simmons, Mar-raysha Lindsey, Michelle Badgett, Nakiesha Simmons, Madonna Badgett, Bridgette (Stephone) Brown, Jasmine Walker, Carol Conners and Lashanda Lucas; uncles, Randall Simmons, Mike Badgett, Ray (Sarah) Lindsey, Bernard Parson, Patrick Walagumba, Edward (Kelly) Lucas, Benjamin (Danielle) Lucas Jr., Tarus (Tiffany) Hill, Noah (Sonya) Lucas and Patrick Lucas; special godmother, Kanika Crowder; special cousins, Jose and Brian, James Berry Jr., Mari Smith, Dante Carter, Ramah and Judah; as well as a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424). A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in West Memory Gardens.
