Kimberly Sue Beckett, lovingly known as Kim, passed away on April 4, 2026, in Columbus, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on November 19, 1957, in Dayton, Kim’s life was a beautiful testament to the power of connection and devotion to those she cherished.
A proud graduate of Northridge High School in 1976, Kim carried with her the values and spirit of her community throughout her life. She was a woman who truly loved to read, finding comfort and joy in the pages of countless books, yet it was the company of her family that brought her the deepest happiness. Kim had a remarkable gift for keeping in touch with family and friends, nurturing relationships with a tenderness and sincerity that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Her family was her anchor—her greatest joy and endless source of pride. Kim is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Bocky; her step-daughters, Tara Shea (Jerritt), and Jen; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Drake, Austin, Artie, and Inez. Her siblings, Lynn, Kenny, Larry, Gary, and Sid — stood faithfully by her side, alongside her brother-in-law, Bob (Deanna). Kim’s life was further enriched by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who carried her in their hearts.
Though deeply mourned, her son Doug Roswell, and long-time partner Larry Nesbit, preceded her in death, along with her parents, Kenneth and Ruth Ferguson, leaving behind a legacy of love that Kim continued to honor until her last breath.
Kim’s presence illuminated every room, and her spirit of kindness and connection will forever linger like a gentle embrace for those who loved her. In her passing, we remember a life filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and a love for family that knew no bounds. Kimberly Sue Beckett’s enduring kindness and devotion will continue to inspire and comfort us all in the days to come.
Friends and Family will have a Celebration of Kim's life at a later date.
