Kerry D. Reeser, Sr., age 74 of Dayton, passed away September 17, 2018. He was born January 10, 1944 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Paul and Treva Reeser. In addition to his parents, Kerry was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Hay-Reeser; brother, Terry G. Reeser Sr.; sister-in-law, Marilyn Reeser; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Florkey.
Kerry is survived by his children: Kerry D. Reeser Jr. (Natalie Mills), Karmen D. Shoop (Josh Suttles) and Kyle D. Reeser Sr. (Andrea); step-son, Lewis Snow; grandchildren: Katelin (Darren), Emily (Brandon), Kara (Jimi), Shelby (Jaffa), Kyle Jr (Kelsee), Kali (Tyler), Kannon, Kennedy and Kash; great-grandchildren: Colten and Oscar; brother, Tom Reeser (Linda); sisters: Judy Morgan and Paula Florkey; sister-in-law, Sue Reeser; longtime friend and mother of his children, Ruby L. Veda; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kerry was the Owner and Operator of Dayton Steam Cleaning. Longtime youth football and baseball coach in the Fairborn and Huber Heights areas. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds and OSU Buckeye Fan and would often be found at a Wayne Warrior football game, watching athletes who he had formerly coached. He was a Bradford High School 3-Sport Hall of Famer. Kerry loved cars, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He was a man of God. Kerry was a wonderful father, devoted grandfather and loved unconditionally; he was everyone's friend. Kerry would help anyone in need and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Kerry's memory to Medway Church in New Carlisle.
