Kerry L. Myers, age 70 of Fairborn, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 1, 1949 in Springfield, OH to Kenneth and Betty (See) Myers. Kerry married Nancy Rahn on December 15, 1973 in Dayton, OH at Christ Episcopal.

Kerry graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1968 and from Wright State University in 1977 with a B.S. in Art Education and Driver's Education. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, serving with the 456th Munitions Maintenance Squadron of the 56th Special Operations Wing in Thailand and Vietnam. After the Air Force he worked for his father in law at Rahn Granite Surface Plate Company as a machinist. Kerry worked after that with the US Postal Service in the Greater Dayton Area for 35 years, retiring in 2010. He was a frequent visitor of the Air Force Museum, taking his children, grandchildren and anyone who would go with him. Kerry loved building model airplanes and cars, going to the movies and always had a pocket full of candy for everybody. He had a different activity for each of his grandchildren, getting involved with them in their own unique way. Kerry was always the quiet one in the back of the room but was always quick to deliver a one liner. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved to tease and play with everyone, especially the grandkids.

Kerry is survived by his wife of 45 years Nancy, three sons, Michael T. (Jeni) Myers, Jeffrey R. (Julie Brumbaugh) Myers and David R. (Chrissy) Myers; eight grandchildren, Marissa, Alex, Evan, Hailey and Ella Myers and Preston, Jeremy and Jake Brumbaugh; a brother, Kevin (Darcell) Myers; a sister, Bette Stekli; a sister in law, Joy Myers; Nancy's siblings, Kathy (Dennis) Rhoades, Gary (Connie) Rahn, and Joanne (Brian) Dennington; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenny Myers; a sister, Belinda Myers; a nephew, Douglas Rhoades; and a niece, Jeannette Slouffman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Christ Episcopal Church, 20 West First Street, Dayton, OH 45402. Inurnment will follow the services at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kerry's name can be made to Hospice of Dayton (Ohio's Hospice), American Pride Program for Veterans, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
