ALTHOUSE, Kent L.
Age 73, went home to be with His Lord on May 4, 2015. He was born October 8, 1941 in Troy, OH to the late, Kenneth and Lorene (Bridenbaugh) Althouse.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Twila Althouse (Gessler); son, Kurt (Sarena) Althouse of Springboro, OH; daughter, Amy (Todd) Thuma of Troy, OH; grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, and Jaden Althouse, and Allison and Trevor Thuma; sisters, Pam (Deo) Furlong of Arcanum, OH and Paige (Galen) Spitler of The Colony, TX; and by numerous other dear family members and friends.
Kent retired from General Motors after 35 years of service and was also a proud United States Army Veteran. Kent attended Wesleyan Evangelistic Church in Dayton, OH.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. The graveside service will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 at 3:00pm at The Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in his memory.
