He is survived by; Zen and Oasis Hicks (sons), Gina Hicks (mother), David Hicks (father) and wife Martina Dillon, Julie (Dan) McCready (sister), Mandy Hicks (sister), Conner Hicks (nephew), Beth (Matt) Smith (sister), Harrison Smith (nephew), Everleigh Smith (niece), and his large, loving, and close-knit extended family. Kenny graduated from West Carrollton Schools in 2006. He was proud of his career as an Iron Worker, successfully completing classes and training to advance in the apprenticeship.
Kenny was a gifted athlete playing three sports throughout his childhood, excelling in baseball. He loved listening to music, singing loudly in the car, and dancing at any opportunity. Kenny had a great fashion sense. He took pride in dressing well, accessorizing, and of course had the latest and greatest sneakers. When he was in elementary school he would polish his shoes and lay out his outfit for the next school day.
Above all else he enjoyed being a Dad. He loved Zen and Oasis with all of his heart. He had an infectious love of life and was always actively involved with his sons. He enjoyed playing, singing, and reading to them. Kenny shared his love of the outdoors with his boys, they could often be found fishing, swimming, hiking, and playing in a creek.
Kenny was kind, sensitive, loving, funny, silly, and had the biggest heart. His goofy laugh would brighten anyone’s day. Kenny will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
