After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1953 with degrees in Engineering and Mathematics, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, bravely participating in the Korean conflict. His military service was a defining chapter, reflecting his courage and patriotism.

Following his military career, Kenneth applied his sharp intellect and strong work ethic in the aerospace and manufacturing industries. He worked as a quality control manager for H.A. Jones and Elano Corporation, part of GE Aerospace, before retiring from Jamestown Plastics. Throughout his career, Kenneth was known for being hardworking, super smart, and dependable—a combination that earned him respect from colleagues and friends alike.

Beyond his professional life, Kenneth was cherished for his warm personality—funny, caring, and remarkably intelligent. His proudest accomplishments were his family and becoming a pilot. A man of diverse interests, he found joy in flying, golfing, playing bridge, and especially cruising with his beloved wife, Marjorie.

Kenneth’s family was central to his life. Though he is now reunited with his wife Marjorie, his parents Sydney and Ethel Lawson, and his sister Doris Lenz, who have all preceded him in death, his legacy lives on through his children, Glenn Lawson and Ingrid Lawson. He is also deeply remembered by his niece Diane Terrecino and his nephew Robert Lenz.

Kenneth Sydney Lawson’s life was one of meaningful achievement and heartfelt connections.
