Kenneth Millas, affectionately known as "Moose," passed away on June 29, 2025, in Oakwood, Ohio, at the age of 77. Born on May 1, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, Kenneth lived a life characterized by warmth, humor, curiosity, and a steadfast dedication to his loved ones.A graduate of Roosevelt University, Kenneth devoted his professional life to serving as a Social Insurance Specialist Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration Office. He exemplifies the concept of a gentle giant and those who knew him appreciated his unique ability to march to the beat of his own drum.Kenneth was a life-long learner with an infinite love for knowledge. He enjoyed reading, figuring out math problems, and participating in trivia nights, where his diverse interests and intellect would shine. He had a passion for painting miniatures and loved devising a good battle plan. He found joy in watching tv and movies, often with a good glass of wine, coffee, tea, or Maker's Mark in hand. His beloved cat, Buffy, was a constant companion, who kept him on his toes - literally and figuratively. Ken is survived by his two in-laws, George Rutkowski and Barbara Millas. He leaves behind two Goddaughters, Rebecca (Daniel) Boland and Lauren (Charles) Palermo, and three nephews, Steven (Lee-Anne) Millas, Nicholas (Maureen) Rutkowski, and Joseph (Cynthia) Otten. Additionally, his legacy lives on through numerous great-nieces and nephews raising their “antlers” in his memory, alongside countless family and friends whose lives he touched.He is preceded in death by his father, Emil Millas; mother, Marion Millas; and three siblings, Carol Otten, Marilyn Rutkowski, and Emil Millas. Kenneth's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew him. His laugh and love will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
