Kenneth E Lairson Sr.

Kenneth E. Lairson Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2016. He was born to the late William and Shirley Lairson on August 4, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio. Ken retired from Chrysler Air Temp after 30 years of service. He was Worshipful Master 1981-1982 for Miami Valley Lodge 660. Ken is a current member of Millennium Lodge 779, Scottish Rite, volunteer fireman for Harrison Twp fire department in Northridge for 19 years, courier for Newsweek Magazine, volunteer for Vandalia Butler High School Basketball for over 10 years, member of Chrysler Retiree Breakfast Club and a honorary member of the Jims Donut/ McDonalds BS club. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ruth; five children Cheryl (Terry) Salyer, Jeanette (Rick Donley) Shields, Kimberly (Milo) Pratt, Kenneth (Reagina) Lairson Jr., Jeffery Lairson; 34 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren and brother Darrell (Marjorie) Lairson. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brothers William, James, Dale and sister Phyllis. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 9:30am-10:30am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice.
