Kenneth Richard Booher, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on May 15, 1952, in Dayton, he lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for those around him.
Kenneth was known to all who knew him as a kind-hearted and generous man. He took great joy in spending time with friends and family, cherishing the moments that made life meaningful. His hobbies reflected his connection with nature and the simple pleasures of life; he was passionate about fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. Kenneth also enjoyed watching NASCAR and golf, which provided him with relaxation and entertainment throughout the years.
He leaves behind his cherished sons: Jeremy Booher, Michael Booher, and Jeffery Booher (Jessica). His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren—Ashley, Jeremy, Abbi, Liam, and Azaleia—who were a source of immense pride and joy in his later years. Kenneth was also lovingly supported by his siblings Russell Booher (Bev) and Constance Hughes (Howard), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will all hold his memory close.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Rita Booher; his brothers Bill Booher and Ernie Booher; and his sister Patricia Burger. Each of these family members held a special place in his life and heart.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, located at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. This will be followed by the funeral service from 1:30 p.m. at the same location.
Kenneth’s family invites all who knew him to join in the remembrance of a man who brought warmth and kindness to all he encountered. His spirit will forever be present in the hearts of those who loved him and the community he cherished.
