We come together to honor and celebrate the life of Kenneth Anthony Bland Jr., who graced this world with his presence on May 25, 1981, in Dayton, Ohio. With heavy hearts, we announce his unexpected passing on January 2, 2026, also in Dayton, Ohio. Kenneth was not just a name; he was a beloved son, a supportive husband, a cherished father, a proud grandfather, and a dependable brother. His spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved him.
Kenneth's journey through life led him to become a dedicated currier, a testament to his hard work and commitment to family. He earned his Graduate Equivalence Degree, proving that determination paves the way to success. Though we contemplate what words encapsulate his personality and the hobbies that filled his days, his family will share more about the essence of Kenneth-his laughter, his kindness, and the values he upheld.
Surviving Kenneth are his father, Kenneth (Cooki) Bland Sr.; his mother, Paulette (Jessie) Withers; his loving wife Aubri Bland; and their vibrant children: Kenisha Bland, Zaria Gooden, Treavion Bland, La'Nyah Bland, Kenyatta Bland, La'Vahn Bland, Ke'Noura Bland, King Bland, La'Mirh Bland, La'Saun Bland, Ke'Aaron Bland, and Ke'Mani Bland. Each of them carries a piece of Kenneth's spirit and legacy.
As a proud grandfather, Kenneth adored his grandbabies: Maziya Gooden, LeAhna Bruner, Peraion Pope, and Zaivion Pope. His love and guidance will echo through the generations to come. He also leaves behind his brothers, Branden Bland and Antwaun Hathcock, along with his sister, Melissa (Jerry) Gentry. Kenneth's extended family includes aunts Lynnette Holmes (Deborah Anderson) and Kia Harrell Wallace, and uncle Dirk (Tootsie) Dennis. He was embraced by in-laws Cynthia Farrar, DeVahn Farrar, Aseani Allen, Ayrrion Allen, and Sean Allen Jr. Kenneth's life was enriched and filled with joy by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all held a special place in his heart.
While we will miss Kenneth deeply, we hold onto the memories of his laughter and the warmth of his love. In our sorrow, we remember his son, La'Maurice Bland, who has departed before him, along with his grandparents: Vivian Ector, Jacqueline Harrell, Thomas Malone Sr., and James Harrell Sr., and his uncle Carlos Bland Sr. They welcomed him with open arms into the everlasting embrace of our ancestors.
As we bid farewell to Kenneth Anthony Bland Jr., let us celebrate a life well-lived-one that reminds us to cherish our loved ones, to support each other through life's struggles, and to uphold the values that bind our families together. His legacy will forever remain in our hearts and actions.
Rest in peace, Kenneth, until we meet again.
