Kelly E. Kennedy “Peachy” of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully at the age of 81 with her family by her side on October 23, 2026. She was born in 1945, in the town of Kimball, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Lee Kipfinger and Mary Katherine Kipfinger; her daughter, Karen Kennedy-Ryan (and son-in-law, Ron); son-in-law Mark Getter; her brothers, Donnie Kipfinger, Jack Kipfinger, and Larry Kipfinger; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Boydston and Joan Etta Johnson (and brother-in-law, Charlie); and her longtime partner, Larry Hall “Papaw”.

As a young woman, Peachy enjoyed bowling and spent many years working at Western Union. As someone with an adventurous spirit, she took numerous camping and fishing trips with her siblings. She loved her family, and utilized any opportunity to spend time with them, attending multiple family reunions, as well as birthdays, holidays, trips up to “the hill” and many other occasions. As she got older, she became an avid quilter, computer-game player, and won multiple games of “Left, Right, Center”. She also enjoyed watching her “stories” and true crime shows with Papaw and her family. Her family will miss her goofiness, as well as her renowned sassiness, that often-brought tears of laughter to their eyes.
