Keitha Jean Anderson, born on February 14, 1936, in Mount Vernon, OH, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026. Keitha lived a life full of passion and purpose-a devoted nurse, a world traveler, and a gifted storyteller. She worked with care and dedication as a nurse at Humana Hospital Huntington Beach, a role she truly loved and where her generous heart shone through.
Keitha graduated from Mount Vernon High School and earned her nursing degree from Mount Carmel School of Nursing. Her love for people and her professional nursing skills made her an esteemed caregiver who touched many lives.
A world traveler at heart, Keitha’s adventures took her across the globe-to places like China and Turkey. She had a remarkable talent for photography and a special joy in capturing the beauty of her journeys. Many of her trips were spent with fellow travel photographers, creating memories and stories that she shared with those around her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jim Anderson, and her parents, Cecil Lewis Porter and Doris Louise Porter. Keitha leaves behind a loving family who cherished her deeply: her daughter Susan Gayle Anderson; her son Douglas E. Anderson; her sister Janice Elaine (Gary) Steinmetz; and her brother Richard Dale (Caroline) Porter, along with numerous family and friends who will miss her warmth and kindness.
Keitha’s generosity, zest for life, and care for others remain an enduring legacy. She will be remembered fondly for her stories, her stunning photographs, and the love she gave freely to all who knew her.
