Keith Douglas Mumma "Doug", born on May 27, 1962, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a cherished son, father, brother, and grandfather who touched the lives of many with his kind and caring nature.
Doug dedicated 18 years of his professional career as an IT and Environmental Compliance Manager for Giant Oil, where he was known for his commitment and expertise. His journey of education began at Northwestern High School, where he graduated in 1980, and continued at Ohio University, Wright State University, and the University of Phoenix.
Throughout his life, Doug created beautiful memories with his family. He enjoyed riding jet skis at the lake, celebrating the Cincinnati Bengals' victories, and watching NASCAR races. He fondly spent time at Clancy's Tavern with his daughters, sharing laughter over sports events while enjoying a beer himself as his girls sipped on Shirley Temples. Travel was another passion of Doug’s, especially trips to spend quality time with Chelsea and her family. He found joy in visiting local breweries during his travels and engaging in trivia nights at BW3.
Doug's personality was one of warmth and love; he was the kind of person who would go above and beyond to help those in need. He was regarded as family by everyone he met, a good listener, and a beloved figure referred to as the best "Papaw" to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Chelsea (Zach) Brahm, Tara Mumma, Kylee Mumma, Danny (Patricia) Unsworth, Michelle Unsworth and Brandon (Amanda Diacont) Unsworth; his mother, Fran Mumma; brother, Mark Mumma; niece, Maranda Mumma; and grandchildren, Bennett Brahm, Jordan, Landon, Carter, Lincoln, Ryder, Theolyne, and Luxley Unsworth.
Doug is preceded in death by his father, Joe Mumma.
