Ronald Keith Gaw, 68, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. He was born in Dayton on August 26, 1956, to Anna Mae (Brown) Macpherson and the late, William Edward Gaw.
Keith dedicated 25 years as a Forestry Crew Leader with the City of Dayton, where his love for trees and the outdoors was evident in everything he did. Beyond his work, he was a passionate race car fan, enjoyed the sport of bowling, and most of all cherished time spent with his family.
He is survived by his spouse of 38 years, Cyndi Rosser; his son, William Keith Gaw, and spouse, Katie Collier; his daughter, Christin Louise Gaw, and spouse, Joey DeWitt Jr.; his grandsons, Oliver Keith and Gabriel Joseph; his step-father, James Macpherson; his brother, Anthony Gaw, and spouse, Connie Brown; brother-in-law, Mike Rosser; along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and step-siblings.
A Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Keith will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery following the service. In keeping with Keith’s love of racing, the family invites guests to wear their favorite NASCAR or racing shirts to the service — a tribute he would have loved.
To celebrate his legacy and lifelong love of trees, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, friends consider planting a tree in his memory.
