Kay Irene Henson, age 75, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on January 6, 2026, in the loving arms of her son.
Kay was born October 5, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Norma Leopold.
Kay graduated from Stivers High School in 1968. She married her husband, James Henson, on October 12, 1968. They were married for 35 years until his death in 2003. They have four children, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Kay is survived by her children, Jeanette (William) Martin, Amy Henson, Carla Henson and Freddie (Crystel) Henson; grandchildren, Kayla, Kimberlynn, Anthony, Ashley, Andrew (Reed), Nicholas, Jeffrey, James (Ciaran), Zacharie (Brooke), Amiah and Freddie (Ashlyn); great grandchildren, Brayden, Mason, Carter, Kamron, Peyton, Memphis, Declan, Stella, Tyler, Sullivan, Daisy, Kaila and Kayden; sisters, Jean (Roger) and Dora; and many other beloved family members and friends.
Preceding Kay in death are her husband, James Henson; parents, Charles and Norma Leopold; brothers, Ronald Leopold and Richard Leopold; and sister, Charlene Shanks.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am.
