Kathy Lynneil Ward (Davis), passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, with her daughter by her side. Born on March 28, 1952, in Marion, Ohio, Kathy lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and generosity.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, James Jr., and her mother, Dorothy Davis. Her memory will be dearly cherished by those she leaves behind: her husband, Samuel Ward; her loving daughter, Susan Hull; her cherished grandson, Malcolm Hull; and her aunt, Abigail Giner. She is also deeply mourned by many friends whose lives she touched through her unwavering kindness and loyalty.
A graduate of Tecumseh High School, Kathy was known for her work ethic and perseverance. She built a longstanding career at Kroger, serving for many years as both a cashier and a manager. Through these roles, she established herself not only as a dedicated employee but as a supportive colleague and respected member of the workplace community.
Family was at the heart of Kathy’s life. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, and her love for them was evident in all she did. Kathy's personality was defined by her outgoing spirit, gentle demeanor, and steadfast loyalty. She was hardworking and always willing to help others, displaying a kindness that endeared her to everyone who knew her.
Kathy derived great joy from her hobbies, which included sewing and crocheting, activities she approached with both skill and creativity. She delighted in spending time in nature, often hiking and appreciating the outdoors, and treasured moments with her family and friends. Among her cherished memories were vacations spent alongside loved ones, creating bonds and experiences that will remain in the hearts of her family.
Kathy’s legacy is one of love, warmth, and enduring dedication to those around her. She will be remembered for her commitment to family, her strength of character, and the countless lives she enriched throughout her years.
