Kathryn S. Moore, 76, of Tipp City, OH, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by the love of her family. Kathy was born February 24, 1949, in Celina, OH, the daughter of Arthur and Mildred (Barhorst) Braun. She graduated in 1967 from Holy Angels (Lehman) Catholic High School in Sidney, OH. On her birthday in 1978, she married Kevin Moore. Together, they spent a life centered around love and quality time. Kathy was a devoted wife, a hard-working mother, a beloved sister, a favorite aunt, and a proud grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Kevin, she is survived by their twin sons: Jon (Dana) Moore of Oakwood, OH and their children, Grant Moore, Graham Moore and Carter Dickerson and Joseph (Maura) Moore also of Oakwood, OH and their children Claire and Colin. She is also survived by her sister Joan (William) Aselage, her brother Danny (Torch) Braun and many loving nieces and nephews.
In December 1984, Kathy proudly earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Sinclair Community College and found great purpose in her career as a labor and delivery Registered Nurse, where she provided care and comfort to countless newborns and mothers at both Grandview and Miami Valley hospitals. Her true calling, however, was her role as “Grandma” to her grandchildren, she cherished every moment spent with them and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
A visitation will be held at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia, Ohio, at 435 E. National Rd, Vandalia, OH 45377 on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. Her final resting place will be Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Dr., Dayton, OH.
