Kathryn Willetta Flood

Kathryn Willetta (Daines) Flood, age 90, of Greene County, passed away Thursday September 17, 2026. Kathryn was born in Fayette County, Ohio on November 20, 1935.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Flood; parents, William H. and Edith Daines; and her brother, Martin F. Daines.

She is survived by her daughters, Juanita Davis (Flood), Regina (Ed) Pike (Flood); R. Warren Flood; four grandchildren, Ben (Megan) Pike, Branden (Tracy) Pike, Lat (Kyle) Williamson and Lyn (Lisa) Carey-Davis; nine great-grandchildren, Kaden, Cordelia, Chloe Pike, Ryder, Kipton Barnhart-Pike, Avery Williamson, Dylan, C.D., and Vincent Carey-Davis.

She worked as a nurse for 48 years in the Greene County, Greater Miami Valley, and Clinton County areas. Graduating from the Bethesda School of Nursing in Cincinnati with her R.N. in 1956. Over the years working in physicians' offices, hospitals (medical and surgical), skilled care nursing facilities, public health, and her passion hospice home care.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00am-12:00pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where the Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
