Kathleen M. Frost, age 75, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on July 28, 2026. She was born June 8, 1951, in Westfield, NJ, to the late Roger Doyle and Dolores (Mowry) Doyle. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Frost, who preceded her in death on March 18, 2022. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and countless cherished memories.
She is lovingly survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Kristina (Rich) Rutherford of Melbourne, FL, Emily (Matt) Mahonski of Lititz, PA, and Virginia (Nick) Hensley of Lebanon, OH; cherished grandchildren, Paige, Joshua, Christian, Lilian, London, and Grey; brothers, Roger (Carol) Doyle, Lawrence (Joe) Doyle, and Robert (Lorraine) Doyle; and numerous extended family and dear friends.
Kathi graduated from Westfield High School in Westfield, NJ, and attended nursing school at Overlook Hospital. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Health Studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. She worked at Williamsport Area School District in the late 80's/early 90's as a school nurse, serving and caring for so many students and families. She then decided to go back to college to obtain her bachelor's degree and was employed by healthcare organizations that provided health care services to military men and women and their families for over 20 years. She took pride in serving those who served our country. Most recently, she was employed as a nurse by Otterbein Nursing Care Facility in Lebanon, Ohio.
Kathi was a woman whose Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she faithfully served as a lector and was an active member of the Ladies' Society. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her parish through her volunteer work at the Community Pregnancy Center in Middletown, OH, where she compassionately supported women and families with love, encouragement, and hope.
She was an avid reader, houseplant connoisseur, board game enthusiast, passionate swimmer, and she loved scheduling luncheons with friends. Above all else, she treasured her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her daughters and their families, celebrating life's milestones, creating lasting memories, and simply enjoying each other's company. She loved traveling, whether discovering new places or revisiting some of her favorites. She especially cherished sharing life's adventures with her husband, Dick.
Kathi will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she freely gave to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her example of compassion, service, and devotion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9579 Yankee Rd., Springboro, Ohio 45066.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Pregnancy Center in Kathi’s memory, would be appreciated by her family.
