Katherine A. Nugent

Katherine A. Nugent, born on January 21, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, left this world on October 5, 2025. Katherine's professional life was marked by dedication and commitment, having served as an Executive Secretary for the Dayton Gems hockey team and later as a Legal Secretary for a local law firm. Her contributions to both organizations were a testament to her work ethic and professionalism.

Katherine was cherished by her family and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her brother, William "Bill" (Patsy) Reyer; sisters-in-law, Gayla Reyer and Donna Reyer; and numerous nieces and nephews who will always remember her kindness, generosity, and the joy she brought into their lives.

Katherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Timothy Nugent, as well as her parents, Frank and Gertrude Reyer, and her brothers Tom Reyer and Jerry Reyer. Their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her.

As we reflect on Katherine's life, we honor her legacy of service, love, and family, which will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). Memorial Service will begin at 11 am. Katherine will be laid to rest with her husband at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, OH.
