Karl David Scheidt

Karl David "Dave" Scheidt, a resident of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother Doris Ginn (Scheidt), father Karl Scheidt, sisters Linda Gross and Karen Gore. Dave is survived by his life partner of 33 years, Sharon West, and his daughter, Sarah Scheidt. He was known for his dedication to his family, his community involvement, and his craftsmanship. A proud veteran, Dave served in the Army Reserves, demonstrating his commitment to serving his country.

Throughout his career, Dave worked as a tool and die maker at National Cash Register and later shared his skills by teaching trades at Patterson Co-op in Dayton before his retirement. An avid clock collector and enthusiast, he enjoyed working on and restoring clocks, finding joy in the intricate mechanics of these timeless pieces.

Dave’s life was marked by his commitment to his family and his community. He will be remembered with love and respect.

Dave will be laid to rest at David's cemetery.  Please check back for day and time of service.
