Karl R. Black, age 82 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1938 in Peebles, Ohio, the son of the late Harvey and Gladys Black.
He was the youngest of 4 children. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Karl is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edeltraud; children, Suelan Black and Doug Black; 1 grandson, Michael; 2 granddaughters, Mallory and Loren; 2 great grandchildren, Lylia and Laikyn; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Karl was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany for 3 years, where he met Edeltraud.
It was Karl's wish to be cremated. Private graveside service.
