Karen Wallace

August 6, 1947 — May 15, 2025

Karen Wallace, beloved wife, mother, Nonnie and friend, departed from this world on May 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of peace, love and laughter. Born on August 6, 1947, Karen’s life was a testament to kindness and wisdom, touching everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. As a hairdresser she transformed appearances and gifted her clients with a listening ear, warm heart and sound advice. As an herbalist she had a deep connection with nature. She empowered others to take an active part in their health and healing by using the gifts provided by Mother Earth. She was an extraordinary cook. She had the remarkable ability to create delicious meals that brought family and friends together, transforming ordinary gatherings into celebrated feasts. She found joy and peace in her garden, where she loved to put her hands in the dirt, cultivating life and beauty. Known for her great sense of humor, Karen lit up any room and made those around her feel loved and understood. Her spiritual nature and wise counsel made her a confidante to many, and she took great joy in passing on her wisdom. Above all, Karen’s proudest accomplishments were her family, the connections she fostered with friends and her kinship with Mother Earth. She was the loving wife of William Wallace with whom she shared a profound partnership filled with love and support. Together they raised two sons, Larry (Dawn) Elliott and Steven Elliott and her granddaughter Angeleah Elliott, who brought Karen immeasurable joy. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Ruth Jones, her brother Dave Jones and her son Steven Elliott. As we remember Karen Wallace, we celebrate the wisdom, humor and kindness she shared so generously. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family, friends and all who had the good fortune to meet her. It reminds us to cherish every moment and remain connected to the beauty of life. Though she has left this earthly realm, the warmth of her love and the lessons she imparted will forever remain in our hearts. We will always remember and miss our lil ol’ hippie and bra burner. Blessed be!
