Karen Sue Skeeters

Karen Sue Skeeters, age 70, of Xenia, passed away January 1, 2026. Karen was born in Miamisburg, Ohio on August 8, 1955 to Carolyn Knight and the late Johnny Skeeters.

Karen was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Kelly Varvel.

She is survived by mother, Carolyn Knight; sons, John (Stacy) Skeeters and Dwain (Laura) Skeeters; brother, Kevin Skeeters; sister, Kim Skeeters; nephews, Josh Skeeters, David Varvel and Shane Skeeters; great-nephew, Austin Skeeters and Brooklyn Brickey; as well as many family members and friends.

Karen graduated from Xenia High School, Class of 1974. She attended Xenia Grace Chapel for many years.

In her free time, she enjoyed watching soap operas and game shows. She loved to do puzzle books and spend time with her dogs. Karen loved talking to her friends on the phone and keeping in touch.

Most of all, she loved to be a mother to her two sons.

She was patient, had a big heart and hated confrontation. Karen remained kind but was a strong-willed woman. She was the best mom that she could be.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Xenia Grace Chapel with a meal to follow.
