Karen Elizabeth Short, age 67 of Washington Township, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Kettering Health Washington Township. She was born April 20, 1956 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Oldenberg Academy. Karen was a creative person who enjoyed art and music. She loved going for car rides and spending time with her family and her beloved pet cat, Ava. She will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her Mother, Kathlyn "Kay" Chismar, and her Husband, Walter R. Short.
Karen is survived by her Sons, Anthony (Nemie) Chismar, Kevin Short, and Alex Short; and Granddaughters, Maiah Ruado, and Oni Chismar.
