Karen Virginia Pietrzak

Karen Virginia Pietrzak, age 65 of Kettering, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. She was born July 18, 1961 in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Lynda Byrd and Elmer Rose.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Pietrzak; daughter, Lynda Joanne Pietrzak; son, David Lee Pietrzak, Jr.; mother, Lynda Byrd; father, Elmer Rose; siblings, Brenda Claflin (John), Barbara Rose, and Billy Rose; maternal grandparents, Edith and Robert Jordan; paternal grandparents, Beatrice and Jack Savage; and Roy Rose.

Karen is survived by her sons, Paul Pietrzak (Bridget), John Pietrzak, and Anthony Pietrzak; grandchildren, Cassidy Rose, Anthony Jr., Alyssa, John Calvin, Anna, Dominic, Marley Jane, Kash, Miley, Paul Jr., and Blake Pietrzak, Carissa, Mackenzie, Robert, and Cheyenne; great grandchild, Kalen Harper; siblings, Bonnie Hilderbrand (Philip) and Yvonne Robertson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Karen was an outgoing, strong, compassionate mom, grandma, sibling, aunt, and friend. She worked at Speedway for 10 years. She loved her job and helping people. She was referred to the most as "Granny". Karen loved her family and friends more than anything in this world. She did everything and anything for everyone, and she was known for keeping the family together. She was surrounded by a huge loving family and her fur babies, Winter and Rosie.

Karen battled cancer twice in one lifetime. She had so much faith in God. Karen had a strong Catholic faith. She believed anything was possible, to always follow the Lord, and believe in God's plan.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Newcomer- North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral Service will be officiated at 11:00 am on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Newcomer- North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424). Karen will be laid to rest following the service at Calvary Cemetery.
