With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Sue "Susie" Peaco, a beloved soul who brought light and love to all who knew her. Susie was born on February 22, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, and it is where she peacefully departed on August 7, 2024, surrounded by the affection of her cherished family.
Susie spent many joyful years working at Jaques Florist, where her love for flowers blossomed alongside her genuine passion for creating beauty. Her career not only brought her joy but also allowed her to spread happiness through her floral creations within the community.
In her free time, Susie adored giraffes, found solace in crocheting, and enjoyed the thrill of visiting casinos. Her hobbies reflected her vibrant personality - loving, cool, and always radiating a calming presence that could light up any room she entered.
One of Susie's proudest accomplishments was her family. She is survived by her children: Lisa Tharp, Renee Alexander (Jason), Kim Peaco, Chuck Peaco (Lisa), and Adam Peaco (Stacey), she found immense joy in raising her five children and nurturing them with unwavering care and love. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Charlie Newton, Hubert Newton, Chris Billings, Brandy Lathan, Kristin Jaggers, Makayla Lutz, Cierra Engleman, Ricky Peaco, Jennifer Watson, Nick Greer, Joshua Greer, Ashley Greer, Tommy Peaco, Emily Peaco, and Aubrey Peaco, as well as many great-grandchildren, were treasured extensions of her heart. Karen leaves behind her sisters, Rebecca Crocker, Deb Evans, and Kathy Stacy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Susie is now reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Donald and Gladys Tharp, her beloved husband, Charles Peaco, her sister, Donna Davidson, and her brother, Daniel Tharp.
The visitation to honor Susie's life will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Let us gather to celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many with her kindness, grace, and enduring love.
In her passing, Susie has left a void that can never be filled, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and light she so freely gave to others.
