Karen Lynn McLaughlin, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 28, 2025, in the comforting presence of her family. Born on September 20, 1952, in New York, Karen dedicated numerous years of her life to serving as an emergency room administrator, where her warm and welcoming demeanor had a profound impact on both her colleagues and the many patients she encountered.

Karen's legacy is steeped in the love she gave to her family. She took immense pride in her daughter and, particularly, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Jennifer Smith, along with granddaughters Kaseylynn Smith, Megan (Tyler) Ernst, and Lauren Smith, were a source of joy and fulfillment in her life. The time she spent with her great-granddaughters, Skylar Ernst and Scarlett Ernst, brought her great happiness, often marked by treasured memories of sneaking candy to them, demonstrating her kind, giving nature.

Beyond her family, Karen was known for her vibrant spirit and love for life. She enjoyed going to the casino and indulging in some friendly gambling, always bringing her sense of fun into every gathering. Her personality shone brightly in every interaction, making those around her feel cherished and valued.

Karen is survived by her loving daughter, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters, as well as her brother, Michael (Colleen) McLaughlin, along with many other family members and friends who will remember her fondly.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angelo Antongiorgi; her parents, Paul and Marilyn McLaughlin; her brothers, Bill McLaughlin and Tom McLaughlin; and her sister, Jody Emerson.

The void left by Karen’s departure is immeasurable. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
