Karen F. Kenley, age 81 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Sycamore Hospital. She was born March 3, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Orren and Della (Powell) Goss.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Herbert D. Kenley and son-in-law, Mark Sheehan.
Karen was retired from the Dayton Public Schools after many years of dedicated service.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Jim Celebucki) Sheehan; son, Brian (Ada) Kenley; grandchildren; Stephanie (Ben), Michelle, Nicole, Danielle, Josh and Brittney; great-grandchildren; James, Jonathan, Savannah, Liam, Noah and Owen. She is also survived by her siblings; Ivan (Laverne), Mary Ellen, Nancy (Jim) and Sandy (Ron) as well as many other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH 45439. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Karen's family will greet friends from 5-8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 6 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
