Karen Edith Maddox, age 64 of Riverside, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at her residence. She was born June 10, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Robert C. and Marion Gail Maddox.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert C. Maddox and aunt Edith Nolen for whom she was named.
She was a retired school teacher in the Cedarville School System and volunteered at the Boonshoft Museum in the planetarium. She played in a classical guitar trio and attended many classes at Sinclair University. She obtained her Bachelors and Master's Degree in Education from Miami University.
Karen is survived by her mother, Marion Gail Maddox; brothers, Robin M. (Maria) Maddox and Mark S. (Helen) Maddox. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
At the request of the family services for Karen will be private. The family request all donations be made to the Boonshoft Museum in the name of Karen Maddox.
