Karen is survived by her devoted husband, William Duette, whose partnership with her exemplified mutual respect and joy throughout their years together. She leaves behind three sons: William, Daniel, and Jeffrey. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Cheyne, Austin, Dustin, Joren, and Jayden. The next generation, represented by her great-grandson, Shane and soon to be great-granddaughter, Adeline, will carry forward the values and warmth she imparted to her family.

Throughout her life, Karen was deeply involved in her community. In Austin, Texas, she was a trusted volunteer teacher's aide within the public school system, dedicating countless hours to ensuring a supportive environment for students. Karen was well known as a team mother to many youth football teams, where her encouragement, organization, and unyielding energy helped shape the experiences of young athletes. Her leadership extended beyond the sidelines, as she served as a franchise officer with the youth football teams, contributing significantly to the growth and well-being of local youth sports programs.

In addition to her community endeavors, Karen found joy in the outdoors, sharing a passion for bass fishing with her husband. Together, they participated in numerous tournaments, forging strong bonds and enriching their life with shared adventure and camaraderie.
