Julie A. Corcoran

January 19, 1940 — March 11, 2018

In loving memory of Julie Ann Corcoran (Siscoe) of Miamisburg, born January 19, 1940 passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Julie is survived by her loving husband, John F. Corcoran. She leaves behind her children whom she loved unconditionally: James M. Corcoran and wife Elizabeth, Douglas A. Corcoran, and Joan Marie Keller.

Julie leaves to cherish her memory 10 grandchildren: Jonathan Hudson, Julia Keller, Katie Robertson, Alexandria Corcoran, Justin Corcoran, Grace Robertson, Evan Gibson, Kieron Corcoran, Jaxson Corcoran, and Weston Corcoran.

The surviving siblings are Janice Ebert, Sandra Michael, and Larry Siscoe.

Julie was preceded in death by parents Clayton and Henrietta Siscoe as well as siblings Nyla Jo Whiting and Eddie Siscoe. Julie's heart ached for the loss of her dear daughter, Beth Ann Corcoran.

Julie was an amazingly gifted woman. She loved her career as a Configuration Manager for Research and Development for the Navy, Army, and Air Force. She selflessly left this career to answer her callling as a pastor's wife.

Julie was a devoted pastor's wife for 40 of the 47 wonderful years she spent with her loving husband, John. Being a pastor's wife took Julie to many places as she valiantly supported and contributed to John's ministry and dedicated herself to her own ministries, as well. John and Julie ministered in Greece from 1978 to 1981. They ministered in Germany from 1981 to 1985. Then they made their way to southern Ohio and have ministered at the Rejoicing Life Church of God for the last 21 years.

High on the list of Julie's multitude of accomplishments is her role as a loving mother. To Jimmy she was his biggest fan. To Doug she was his champion. To Joan she was her best friend. Julie was also a zealous steward of the memory of her daughter Beth Ann.

Julie's other accomplishments are numerous. She was a Bible teacher. She led marriage seminars. She served as a Youth Leader. She was a Women's Leader. Julie participated as a member of the Church of God State Women's Board for Ohio. She served as President of the Protestant Women of Chapel. Julie was associated with Youth with a Mission. She established a food pantry that is still in existence to this day. (This was quite an achievement given the impoverished population it served.) Julie actively participated in a mission trip to Cypress. Julie's service to the Athens Community is worthy of noting, as well.

In addition to her many ministries, Julie was involved in her community. Julie assisted the Cub Scouts in reorganizing Pack 79 after the Xenia tornado. Julie maintained membership on the Advisory Council to the Xenia Board of Education. She served as a PTO President for Xenia City School District. Julie also served as the Ladies Auxiliary President for the Xenia Township Fire Department. These are just a few of her many endeavors in her endless service to God, family, community, and others.

The echo of Julie's laughter will forever live on in our hearts. Her legacy is her strength, fortitude, kindness, compassion, tenderness, selflessness, servitude, and faithfulness. And the list could go on. Julie will be remembered and cherished and missed greatly

Her local church will miss her dearly, but rejoices because she is no longer in pain or unable to live the full life she was used to and craved. Her kind words, giggles at Pastor's awful jokes and warm hugs are wonderful memories now. She was known as Princess Buttercup and her Farmboy continues to silently say, "As you wish".

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Julie's church, the Rejoicing Life Church of God. These donations will be used for "The Julie Corcoran Community Service Chaplain Scholarship Fund."
