Julia Teague-Johnson

March 4, 1946 — May 1, 2017

Julia Teague-Johnson, age 71 of Dayton, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born March 4, 1946 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Gladys Buckner.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Lee Buckner; brother, Steve Lee Buckner; and husband, Michael Lee Johnson; and many beloved cats.

Julia is survived by her son, Larry (Tricia) Teague; daughter, Tammy Teague; six grandchildren, Destiny Teague, Jake Wood, Julia Wood, Alicia Putzke, Skylar Shannon, Luke Putzke; three great granddaughters, Haylee Butts, Braylee Teague, Valorie Wood; step-daughter, Shelly Snow and her children Robbie and Ashley; as well as a very large chosen family and many beloved cats, and her cat-dog Lyla.

Julia retired from Chrysler after many years of service and was a proud member of IUE Local 775.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will immediately follow. Burial will follow in Willow View Cemetery.
