Julia Samantha “Crane Pretty Voice” Meyers, age 29, of Dayton, passed away on November 6th, 2025. Julia was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 5th, 1996, to Joseph and Anita Meyers.
Julia was preceded in death by her grandmothers.
She is survived by parents, Joseph Meyers and Anita Meyers; brothers, Joseph Meyers II and Jeremy Scherr; grandfather, Eddie Meyers; niece and nephew, Elijah Scherr and Aaliyah Scherr; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
In high school between the years of 2011-2015, she was in JROTC, Band, Marching Band, Cross Country and Drama Club. She was queen of the JROTC Military Ball and was the lead of the woodwinds section in marching band.
In college, she received her associates from Creative Images Institute of Cosmetology as a Nail Technician in December of 2020 and she was in gymnastics at Wright State University from 2015-2017. She was baptized at Faith Baptist Church December 6th, 2015.
In her free time, she would write and play music. She was a guitarist and a singer. She and her friends would sing and play together at venues for friends, family and many others. She was the lead vocalist in a band called VIM, where they would play at many venues across the Dayton area. She was creative at heart and that was always on full display in any and everything she did. She was an artist, and she would integrate that into her music, nails, and anything she done for others and truly made it special. She always challenged herself in her art and she would always find new ways of displaying that. Her nail work made her many friends and lifelong clients. She crafted and created many designs for nails that expressed many meanings and impacted many more people. Her music was no different as she would always express from the heart.
Julia was strong, kind, considerate, thoughtful, intelligent, loving, selfless and spirited. She never knew a stranger, and she never needed a reason to put others first. She would lead with kindness and was inspiring in the ways her heart never stopped giving. She knew how to light up a room and turn the impossible possible in so many lives. She was a spark of life to those who met her. For those who knew her there was never a bad day when she was involved. She would go above and beyond to always help those she loved. That includes everyone she met on day one. She loved bringing people together and taking a moment to see everyone making memories together. Her actions, her decisions always lead her to make selfless choices. Through our flaws, Julia always had a way of making everyone feel as if those flaws weren’t the sum of who we are, but the steppingstones of becoming someone better. She was a blessing to have in our lives and will continue in our hearts as a beacon of inspiration and hope that there’s always a better tomorrow.
