Julia Regina (Piper) Linnenkohl, age 104, left her place on this earth to be reunited with her family on July 24, 2026. She was born July 13, 1922, the third daughter of Jacob Joseph and Mary Ann Gallagher Starr of Shade Gap, PA. She was an RN having completed a three year nursing degree program in 1946. Julia "Jean" worked briefly as an RN before joining the US Army in 1948. She was stationed at Fitzsimmons Army Base where she met her husband, Henry C. Linnenkohl. They married on November 221, 1950 and raised 5 children; David Henry (wife Christina) born in 1951, Susan Carol born in 1954, Karen Ann born in 1955, Marcia Jean born in 1958, and Robert Carl born in 1960.

She is survived by her 5 children; grandchildren Laura Jane born in 1988, Sarah Elizabeth (Jeff) Iverson born in 1995, Lucas Andrew (Cara) Blankenship born in 1995, and Nathan Patrick Blankenship born in 1997; great grandchildren Leona Jean Iverson born in 2023, Arden Blankenship born in 2024; 15 nieces and nephews; and a host of great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 38 years; sisters, Mary Agnes Yohn (1917-2017) and Margaret Elizabeth Nolan (1919-2006); and brother, John Jerome Starr (1925-1933).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at St. Henry Chapel, Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of mass immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 20896 Croghan Pike, Orbisonia, PA 17243-9000.
