Judy Dodson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted family-oriented woman, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on March 11, 1944, Judy's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Throughout a remarkable 44-year career at Chase Bank, Judy made countless connections, embodying her truly engaging personality as an amazing woman who never met a stranger. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her commitment to her family. She was not just a mother and grandmother; she was a guiding light whose warmth and kindness enveloped those around her.

Judy's spirit was vibrant, and her zest for life was evident through her passions. A woman of varied interests, she loved traveling and spent many cherished moments going on dates with her grandsons. Judy took pride in her garden, finding great joy in her flowers, and her culinary skills brought delight to many family gatherings. She also enjoyed bowling and playing poker, creating cherished memories with friends and family alike. One of her greatest joys was decorating for holidays, especially loved the Americana theme and THE Ohio State Buckeyes!!

She graduated from Brookville High School. She was also deeply connected to a group known as the “Lunch Bunch,” comprising lifelong friends and coworkers with whom she shared laughter and fellowship every week. This community highlights Judy's legacy of friendship and the strong bonds she fostered throughout her life.

Judy is survived by her loving children, Scott (Susan) Dodson and Brian (Tanya) Dodson, and her cherished grandchildren, Samuel Dodson, Brittany (Chris) Muse, Tory Dodson (Kayla Lehman), and Taylor Dodson. She also leaves behind her siblings, Brenda Reboulet and Mike (Robin) Beachler; lifelong friend, Carole Pearson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many other members of the "lunch bunch" who adored her dearly.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marion and Alberta Beachler, who undoubtedly had a profound influence on her life and character. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 48 years, Gary Dodson.

A memorial service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on October 2, 2025, at Sulphur Grove Church 7505 Taylorsville Rd, Dayton, OH 45424 at 4:00 PM. This gathering will provide dear family and friends the opportunity to come together, share stories, and honor the incredible legacy she left behind.

Judy Dodson will forever be remembered not just for her contributions to her family and community, but for the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those who knew her. She was a beacon of love, laughter, and warmth, and her spirit will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
