Judith Claire Comer, affectionately known as “Judy,” passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 15th, 1941, in Troy, Ohio, Judy’s journey through life was marked by her kindness, loving nature, and a deep devotion to her family, friends, and Christ.
Judy’s professional career spanned over three decades, which she served as an executive secretary for LexisNexis, formerly The Mead Corporation. Her commitment and dedication in the workplace exemplified her strong work ethic and professionalism integrity.
A proud graduate of Tipp City High School, Judy maintained a lifelong passion for learning and growth.
Her spiritual and devoted character left an unforgettable mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. In her leisure time, Judy found joy in various hobbies and interests. She liked to bowl, fish, play card games, and make memories with family and friends. She was a devoted Christian. Bible studies and spiritual music she would play on the piano allowed her to spread her Faith and Christianity to many people and many places. Above all, Judy loved being a dedicated Grandma. She spent many years enjoying their sports, hobbies, and school performances.
Judy is survived by her sons, Jim (Vicki) Heinrich and Jeff (Karen) Heinrich; her daughter, Tammy (Jan) Dillak; grandchildren, Emma (Dave) Merchant, Alex (Grace) Heinrich, Andy Heinrich, and Russell Dillak, as well as her great-granddaughter, Marley. She leaves behind many other cherished family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Florence Storck; her husband, Russ Comer; and her brothers, Roger and Robert Storck.
Judy’s legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.
