Judith Ann Bennett, lovingly known as Judy, passed away on October 10, 2026, in Fairborn, Ohio. She was born on April 5, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, and will be remembered as a woman whose life was centered on love, kindness, and family.
Judy’s proudest accomplishment was her family, and she devoted herself to them with her whole heart. She often took on what she considered the toughest job of all: being a stay-at-home mother. In that role, she gave her family the steady gift of her care, her strength, and her presence, shaping the lives of those she loved through everyday acts of devotion.
She will be remembered as loving, kind, funny, and giving. Judy was the sort of person who would help anyone in need, offering warmth and generosity without hesitation. Her joy could be found in simple and meaningful pleasures: playing Bingo, working word search puzzles, spending time with family, admiring butterflies, gardening, and caring for her yard. These quiet joys reflected the gentle spirit she brought to the world around her.
Above all, Judy treasured her family. She is survived by her son, Seigel Bennet, and her daughter, Janet (Charles) McKenzie. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Joshua (Lori) Bennett, Ashley Hughes, Timothy McKenzie, Matthew McKenzie, Nathaniel McKenzie, and November Warden, as well as her great-grandchildren, Mary Bennett and Kenneth Bennett. She is also survived by her sister, Elsie, and by Benji, her cherished fur baby who brought her comfort and joy.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her son, Ronald Bennett; her grandson, James McKenzie; and her parents, Hutch Hutchinson and Mary Hutchinson as well as 13 brothers and sisters.
Those who knew Judy will remember a woman who found beauty in family, laughter in daily life, and happiness in the simple things. Her love remains woven through the lives of those she leaves behind, and her memory will be held close always.
