Judith (Judie) Barron, age 85, of New Carlisle, OH passed away November 4, 2020. She was born January 23, 1935 in Dayton, OH the daughter of Taylor Sr. and Weltha (Himes) Cardwell.
Judie is preceded in death by both of her parents; brother, Taylor Cardwell Jr., sister-in-law, Carol Cardwell, and grandson, Spencer Murphy.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Lowell (Tom) Barron and daughters, Brenda Barron and Tracy (David) Holland. Judie was a very proud grandmother to 3 grandchildren, Ross Gudorf, Chase Murphy and Melissa Holland; along with 2 great-grandchildren, Declan and Olivia Murphy; and many loving family members and friends.
She was a 1953 graduate of Roosevelt High School and shortly after married Tom Barron on October 14, 1953. Judie enjoyed being a homemaker and mother to her two young daughters before resuming her career. She was employed at Globe Industries and then at International Fineblanking Corp. as Accounting and Office Manager before retiring in 1997.
Judie thoroughly enjoyed retirement while traveling the country with her husband in their RV and spending winters in Florida. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, going to the movies with her daughters and best friend, Jeri Price, and spending quality time with family. Her hobbies included painting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, bowling, playing bridge, and reading.
Judie was always eager to lend a helping hand to others by cooking meals, running errands, transporting to appointments, or just being available to chat. She had a fierce love of family, witty sense of humor, and a passion for children. Her beautiful smile and generous spirit will be remembered and cherished by many.
A private family service will be held later in November at Springboro Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
