Judith Ann Smith

Judith Ann "Judy" Smith, age 81, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. Judy was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 7, 1944 to the late Roy and Hazel Bowles.

Judy was preceded in death by parents; love of her life, Walter Smith; son, Jeffery Smith; as well as her brother, Roy H. Bowles.

She is survived by sister, Nancy Carr; grandsons, Christian and Robert; several nieces and nephews; good friends, Lissa, Becky and her church family.

She was a member of Agape Family Worship Center for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed her friendship with the ladies, cleaning and helping out at the church. She also loved spending time with her pets.

Judy was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She had an answer for everything and she told you how she felt. Her sense of humor and wit were some of the most loved aspects about her. In her own words, she had a "young mind". The children and youth loved interacting with her in a very playful and loving way.

Judy was a beautiful soul with a loving heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's memory to Agape Family Worship Center (4111 Maple View Dr, Beavercreek, OH 45432).

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark McVey officiating.

Judy will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens following the service.
